Descrição do curso

The Junior English and Activity Programme at EGA International is specially designed for young learners aged 11 to 17 who want to improve their English while enjoying an unforgettable experience in Ireland.

Students are placed into class groups according to their age, English level and learning ability. This allows us to create balanced groups and provide lessons that are dynamic, motivating and adapted to each student’s needs.

All course materials are carefully prepared by our in-house Director of Studies. Every year, our academic team reviews, updates and adds new material to ensure that lessons remain fresh, engaging and effective. Modern technology is also used during tuition to make the learning experience more interactive and enjoyable.

At the end of the programme, all students receive a class evaluation report outlining their progress in English. Families also receive a report on the student’s behaviour, attitude, participation and effort throughout the programme.

Activities

The programme combines English lessons with a wide range of afternoon sports, leisure and cultural activities. These may include football, canoeing, climbing, surfing, mountain biking, mini-golf and other fun group activities.

Afternoon activities usually take place between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Students are supervised at all times by our qualified and experienced EGA activity leaders, ensuring a safe, friendly and well-organised environment.

On Saturdays, students enjoy full-day excursions to some of the most beautiful and interesting places in Ireland, such as Cork, Kerry, the mountains, Dingle and other local attractions.

Sundays are spent with the host family, giving students the opportunity to experience Irish family life, practise English naturally and enjoy a more relaxed day in a welcoming home environment.

This programme is ideal for teenagers who want to improve their English, make new friends, discover Irish culture and enjoy a safe, active and memorable stay in Kerry.

Todas as escolas da EGA International estão localizadas na área da cidade. A EGA International utiliza diferentes centros de ensino, pois todos os alunos são divididos por idades e níveis. Nossa sede principal está localizada no centro da cidade na College Square. Nossa escola Central fica a apenas 3 minutos da estação de trem e de ônibus local.
O Aeroporto de Kerry e o Aeroporto Internacional de Cork servem a nossa cidade.

EGA International offers you a complete immersion English program living full board in a select private family home. We carefully match individual preferences and hobbies between the incoming student and the local host family. This is a fundamental component of a total immersion Homestay Course - as a clean, comfortable and happy home atmosphere is vital for learning and advancement. This course is only suitable for students.
All our families participate in the learning and welfare of our students and have all the information needed before their students arrrive with a 24/7 support from the director during the students stay. The town is rich in culture and heritage situated in the National Park of Killarney. Killarney is a safe and friendly town with good holiday facilities.

With carefully selected hospitable and experienced host families.

Full board: breakfast, packed lunch, dinner and snack before bedtime.
ALWAYS individual room
ALWAYS with an Irish `brother´ or `sister´ of the similar age and with the same hobbies as our student.
Only one student of any nationality is placed in a family unless an alternative arrangement is requested.
Families interact with the students and guarantee improvement in English.

Once classes and activities are finished, the students are taken back home to their families by private transport organised by EGA. Living with the family is the best option for practising English and learning about local culture and traditions. The family homes are spread over a wide area making it almost impossible to meet students of the same nationality.

Our families are responsible for the entertainment of the student and weekend planning. Our students are always placed in the same house with an Irish brother / sister of the similar age and with the same hobbies. The families will have constant interaction with the student and they will always be treated as a member of the family.

We have tried hard for you, but unfortunately, we will not have Junior group class available at this time. We can offer your young client 1-1 Private Lesson but without afternoon activities.
